Pima Tucson Homebuyer’s Solution Program
Through the Pima Tucson Homebuyer’s Solution Program, qualified borrowers can receive a fixed-rate 30-year mortgage. In addition to the mortgage, applicants can also receive assistance for closing costs, down payment, or prepaid items for up to 3, 4, or 5% of the loan amount. This assistance does not need to be repaid and has no recapture tax.
In order to be eligible, applicants have to have qualifying credit, meet all guidelines from FHA, VA, USDA, and Freddie Mac, and complete a homebuyer education course. Applicants must also not have an annual household income of more than $83,020 for FHA, VA, and USDA loans, or an annual household income of more than $88,950 for conventional loans (as of 2020). Both first-time and repeat homebuyers are eligible for the Pima Tucson Homebuyer’s Solution Program.
The property being purchased must be in Pima County and Tucson, and be the homebuyer’s primary residence. Properties can have up to four units, and this also includes condominiums and townhouses.
