About

Capital One was established in 1995. It quickly became a major player in the financial services industry, and it's now one of the most popular banking service providers in the United States. It has operations not only in the US but also in Canada and the UK. Capital One offers a full array of products to consumers including zero interest credit cards, auto finance, savings and CD accounts. While they used to offer mortgage loans, they stopped offering them in 2017.

Capital One's credit cards in particular have gained in popularity over the years. The bank offers a variety of credit cards to cater to the consumers’ needs, and Capital One markets the cards through interesting, humorous commercials. You may remember seeing one with Alec Baldwin over the past few years. Some of Capital One's offerings include competitive rate cards, rewards cards, prepaid cards, secured cards, student cards, and several co-branded cards.

In 2012 Capital One acquired ING Direct and has rebranded this business line to Capital One 360.
