NeighborWorks Alaska, a subset of NeighborWorks America, is an HUD-approved counseling agency that offers services in both English and Spanish. They have been helping Alaskans with housing resources for more than 35 years. Those interested will be able to find help with budgeting, financial management, credit information, post-home purchase information, and pre-home purchase information.

NeighborWorks Alaska offers two classes specific to interested homebuyers. The first is a Homebuyer Education Course, which offers information about homeownership, how to find a home that’s right for you, and homeowner maintenance. This class has a non-refundable fee of $99.

The second class is on Money Management, and helps individuals learn about saving and spending, credit, and personal finances. This class has a non-refundable fee of $45.
