HOME Foundation Buyers Assistance Grant
The HOME Foundation Buyers Assistance Grant is offered by the Rogue Valley Association of Realtors in combination with the Oregon Association of Realtors. As much as $1,000 can be accessed to help with prepaid items, closing costs, or the down payment.
In order to be eligible, an applicant must be a first-time homebuyer, meaning they have not owned a house in at least three years. Applicants must also be pre-approved for a loan.
As of 2020, the applicant’s income should not be more than $64,000, which is the median income of Oregon. Applicants must also put forth a minimum of $500 from their own funds towards the home purchase.
Finally, applicants must complete an approved homebuyer education course and finish approved homebuyer counseling.
Only properties serving as the applicant’s primary residence and found in Jackson or Josephine County will be allowed.
